[4 Doll Review] Limited Edition 17" Pink Aurora, Blue Aurora, and Fairy tale collection Cinderella and Pocahontas

Woke up super early today to pick up and attempt to get a few new dolls! This will be a lengthy review, but I hope it proves helpful!

Up first is limited edition 17" Aurora in her signature pink dress.

Here she is in the box.

Pink Aurora is a limited edition number of 5000.

Her dress is a very bright shade of pink, a bit darker on the bottom and lighter on the top. Her dress has roses incorporated throughout.

She wears a gold belt in the shape of a rose; it matches the rest of her outfit.

There are numerous details on this doll especially with the embroidery. Not only does she have intricate patterns embroidered onto the top of her dress, she also has embroidery on the cuff of her arm...

As well as down the long part of her sleeves.

A close up of her face. Her hair is blonde with golden tinsel. A great part of this doll is the fact that they styled her bangs correctly.

A close up of her crown. It is gold with rhinestones.

Aurora wears pink flats.

Pink Aurora's background is blue with her castle.

This Aurora is number 405 of 5000

In comparison, blue Aurora is very similar.

Blue Aurora inside her box. She is a limited edition of 4000. 1000 less than her pink variant.

Blue Aurora shares the same box design as her pink counterpart, with the exception of the doll's description on the back of the box. Each doll's colours match their respective boxes.

Out of the box

A close up on her outfit. She shares the same dress as her pink version; but in a different colour. The accessories are the same as well.

As far as make up goes, both dolls share the same face and paint job. However, the eyes of this Aurora are looking in the opposite direction of her pink version.

This Aurora has blue shoes to match her blue dress.

Unlike the pink version, the blue version has a castle on a pink background.

This Aurora is number 32 of 4000.

A side by side comparison.

After acquiring these Auroras, I proceeded to try my luck at the raffle for Cinderella and Prince Charming.
After winning a set, I was extremely pleased with the outcome of this doll upon inspection.

Like all the other designer couples, this set comes with a name plate and the same golden border.

The back of the box detailing the parts of the dolls.

Without the slipcover. Out of all the couple sets, this is by far one of my favourites.

She wears a light blue ballgown with some layering in the back. her hair is done in copious amounts of curls.

The layering on the back of the dress, accurate to her box art.

She also wears gloves to match her outfit.

A nice bit of detail on this set is the tiny bit of lace lining the open back of her dress.

Close up of her gloves.
Close up of their faces. This Cinderella has one of the sweetest faces I've ever seen on a designer doll. Like all the dolls, she has rooted lashes and matching make up.

A better view of her face. She also wears a black choker.

Close up of Prince Charming's face. Although he does look quite generic, his outfit greatly makes up for it.

The top part of his outfit is adorned with little details.

A functional belt

Embroidered cuffs

Lined pants

Detailed shoulder pads

Cinderella also comes with quite a bit of detail as well. She wears a double headband that almost resembles a crown in silver with rhinestones.

Her hair in the back is done in neat, tight, curls.

Her glass slippers! A very nice touch and accurate to the character.

The symbol in the corner of this set is Cinderella's pumpkin carriage.

This doll is number 1235 of 6000

The box art. Once again, one of my favourite dolls of this wave of couples.

Prior to attaining Cinderella, I had purchased Pocahontas' couple set at the Disney store as well. Definitely one of the least popular sets, she is still available for purchase at various store locations.
Her box art is lovely, though.

Inside their box. What I like about this set is that they did their best to keep her in her original movie outfit instead of a ballgown like the other girls in this wave.

She has various accessories such as a golden headpiece with feathers around it.

Her face is just as sweet as the other girls'. She wears her outfit accurate to the one she wears in her movie however with more beading and fringes as well as a belt and embroidery.

She has a brown cape with a leaf pattern.

Her tattoo was a nice touch; very movie accurate.

Her necklace

The charms on her belt.

With flash, you can see that her hair contains a few braided sections of hair.

As for John Smith, he is quite accurate to his box art in terms of outfit.

A simple vest, pants, white dress shirt and a brown satchel bag.

He also wears boots.
This set has the symbol of a leaf.

This set is number 4903 of 6000.

View of their box art.

Overall these dolls are extremely beautiful, and I am glad I didn't second guess purchasing blue Aurora. The outfits for future couples could improve, but they appear to be on the right track in terms of keeping accurate to the characters' respective movies.
