Special review today! Today I received my very first Brass Key doll! She is difficult to find especially with working lights!

Here she is in the box! The box itself is in good condition. Nothing is out of place and the LED lights in her box are still fully functional. This trait is very rare for the Celestial Princess Dolls as the battery is not replaceable.

Here is a close up of her face. She is made completely of porcelain except for her tail which is stuffed. Her eyes are inset and are made of glass~! She also has rooted lashed and painted on facial features. She wears a porcelain starfish in her hair and her hairstyle is curled tight to one side. Her bangs are also styled quite accurately.

A close up of her outfit! The colours are very bright! She has a sort of skirt/dress that she wears with matching cuffs on her arms.

Her tail is long and is flat on the box.

Like all dolls in the Celestial Princess series, she has a button on her box that, when pressed, will illuminate the inner box via LED lights that replicate twinkling stars.

That's it for this review! I'm so happy to be able to add this doll to my collection! She is a very unique doll; what stood out to me the most are her glass eyes. I definitely recommend trying to find her in box if she's ever available again!

Today I have a very special review that I'm excited to share with you all, and it's some merchandise from Disney - Marvel's newest movie: Big Hero 6.

For those of you who haven't watched the movie yet, here's a brief summary. The movie follows the story of 14 year old robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada along side his robot partner Baymax and his college friends, as they proceed through their origin story; defeating a villain and becoming Big Hero 6.

I personally liked this movie much more than Frozen (and I really, really loved Frozen). Although I am sure it will not become as big as Frozen instantly while in theatres, I can see that over time it will become a growing franchise that can span more than just a movie and a sequel.

The characters were created almost perfectly with just the right amount of flaws and a great deal of variety in terms of their personality and physical traits.

My favourite character from the movie is one of Hiro's friends - Honey Lemon. Honey is a chemical engineer, and as such her weapon includes a robotic purse with the ability to create chemical bombs of different combinations and effects by simply pushing buttons on her purse. Here's the thing - these buttons are in the shape of the periodic table - meaning, she can punch in certain chemicals that will combine into a chemical ball that she can use tactically against her target. Memorizing the periodic table is hard enough, but to be able to quickly punch in the correct series of elements to combine into the exact reaction you want? Under pressure and time sensitive too - very difficult.

Today, I have a few Honey Lemon specific merchandise to review!

This includes the classic doll, plush and funko pop figure!

I'll begin with her classic doll. Here she is in her box.

I think it's cool that the back of her box has this futuristic looking "description" of the doll.

Close up of her outfit. You can see that she comes with super tiny chem capsules (these are a choking hazard and should be taken into consideration when purchasing).

She can stand well on her own without a stand, and her visor flips up (a nice little detail)

Her shoes are very shiny and metallic wedges.

Back of the doll. Her hair has lighter coloured streaks in it! Very nice touch and adds more colour to this doll.

Another nice small detail of this doll is that her uniform is very movie accurate. Her thumb goes through the sleeve the same way it does in the art work, separated from the other fingers.

Another nice thing about this doll is the purse (which is semi-functional with the chem capsules).

Taking a look at her accessories, we can see that her helmet is extremely well done in terms of paint job and movie accuracy.

The purse has been changed from this version to the version in the movie which took away the cute bear parts and includes the periodic table on the heart. (I like the animal parts and will include the periodic table - hand made and re-created using photoshop)

These small capsules all fit into the purse - however I recommend keeping them in the box if you plan to display her, as these are definitely easy to lose.

Her chest plate is actually not one solid piece.

It comes apart into two pieces and snaps on easily onto the doll.

Moving along, here we have the Honey Lemon Funko Pop figure.

Here she is out of the box. Due to her large head and hair, she is quite top heavy and requires a stand. The stand snaps onto a hole on one foot via a peg on the stand.

The funko pop figure is very well made, and the stand was an extremely good idea for this figure. Collectors can definitely appreciate these stands being put to use in more of this figure line.
